THE WEAR YOUR WHOLE CLOSET CHALLENGE:
Today I did something amazing: I WENT OUTSIDE. Yep, it's a balmy 41º today so I forced myself to put down the fuzzy boots and back away slowly. I still have a few regular boots I haven't worn yet so I pulled out this gray pair I've had for at least 6 years. They're a product of my Nolita days when shopping was dangerously close and I was forced to pass Sigerson Morrison just to go to the drugstore.
Even though I've lived here for 17 years, I still am surprised and sometimes delighted by snow, especially the first one of the season. We actually missed the real first ones while we were in Hawaii (I was not mad at that) so when I pulled up the shades today and saw the powdery white flakes covering the neighborhood I was like a giddy little kid. Until I went outside. It's bananas cold AF.
Greetings from the polar vortex! This last month of the challenge is really challenging me with its frigid temps and conditions, in terms of making it hard to, you know, LEAVE THE HOUSE. I'm beyond fortunate to be a freelancer and am currently working from home (hallelujah!), but sometimes going outside is still inevitable.
