Not Mad At Fall At All
Another brisk day here meant another opp to dig in to my warm weather clothes. And I do mean DIG-- as in through the bursting-at-the-seams IKEA bag of them in my basement. As excited as I am to switch up the wardrobe I'm looking forward to doing the closet changeover about as much as I look forward to a root canal.
I went fishing and pulled out this cozy plaid shirt I got about 2 years ago at Madewell. Normally this would not be my shirt style at all but for some reason this one spoke to me. Perhaps because it's butt-coveringly long enough in the back to wear with leggings? "I can work with this," I thought to myself and began to build an outfit around it.
I dug out (more easily) these See By Chloe over the knee fringe boots that I'm totes 'cessed with. I've been dying to wear them again. They kinda fall down a little and I have no idea how to fix that, so I'll take any suggestions there. I got these babies 2 years ago on an app I never needed to know about (and have since deleted) called PS Dept. PS= Personal Shopper and you can basically tell them anything you're looking for or maybe something you've seen on a celeb and they find it for you. It's a genius idea, just not one an addict like me should ever have access to. Especially when they have "exclusive sales," hence how I ended up owning these boots.
To continue with the digging theme (why not, right?), I dove into my scary jeans drawer and pulled out these gray 7 For All Mankind I didn't remember I owned. Thanks closet challenge! They're stretchy, comfy and as close to PJs as I can get, which is really always my supreme goal.
I thought this would be a great time to wear my yellow Zara faux-suede moto jacket to bring a bit more polish to the plaid, not to mention a pop o' color. ZING! Yellow found me everywhere today. I'm pretty sure WB Mason was giving me a thumbs up...with his eyeballs.
OutFIT or LeaveIT?: Super jazzed about all these pieces, just need to figure out how to get these darn boots to stay where I tell them to!
