The Outfit That Launched A Challenge

Behold, the ensemble that made me realize I had a serious problem: an outfit I reached for so frequently, I realized I was ignoring 97% of my closet. A combo so perfect yet comfy I could wear it every damn day. And yes, some weeks there’s a very strong possibility that actually happened. I don't have a picture of me in this outfit since this idea began brewing in wintertime, but I have pics of the pieces so you can get an idea!
The top is a distressed sweatshirt-like object by IRO. The more I wash it, the more ripped it gets. Spoiler alert: I don’t wash it that often.

The jeans are Citizens of Humanity (not my usual jean-jam) but these suckers were a total find. Splatter painted, gently ripped in some places and blanket soft, they were also on a megaaa sale. I wear them so much I wonder if they'll be standing up waiting for me in the morning.

The Boots are Frye Shearling booties with a moto-edge. It took me almost 14 years of living in a relatively cold winter climate to discover the unreal amazingness of shearling! I had always associated Uggs with Ewock feet, so I never understood them. I later discovered Ugg makes other non-Wookiee, actually cute shoes (those will appear in later blog entries) and my shearling obsession has blossomed ever since. They aren't cheap but they're built to last and their warmth is worth every cent. Plus these ZIP. Boots on in 2 seconds and feet out the door??! It’s the little things.
