Thar She Blows!
Today we set out on one of many Hawaiian adventures. This one was to the Nakalele Blowhole. It's a natural geyser where the pressure from waves forces trapped seawater out of a small hole in the jagged lava rock. The column of water shoots up to 100ft in the air! And against a stunning backdrop, it's truly a magical natural event.
I threw on this scarf blouse that was a random last-minute frenzied purchase at Neiman Marcus Last Call before our honeymoon two years ago. Usually, a place like Last Call gets me into closet trouble because they sell deeply-discounted designer clothing. But that's often the perfect recipe for me to buy things I don't really love or need just because IT'S A DEAL! I have since stopped shopping at these types of stores, but I have to say I still really like this top. It's breezy and light and works well over shorts or jeans. Plus it doesn't wrinkle in a suitcase which is a huge travel plus.
I feel so lucky to have witnessed this amazing feat of nature and, despite the blazing sun, I stayed pretty darn cool!
OutFIT or LeaveIT?: I'm surprised at this top's staying power, but its versatility and travelability are two huge votes to keep it
