I'm Sailing Away...Kinda.

We had another weekend back in the BK and so that meant another Brooklyn bike tour!

It was beautiful weather and we set out to explore some of the cool new things that've been popping up nearby. First stop was the behemoth known as Industry City. It's a massive new complex filled with tons of food vendors, shopping, and games like an entire ping pong room and even a putt-putt course. Plus there seems to be strategically placed bars near everything, so parents of small children-- rejoice!

Alas, I had water on the brain. I was craving a sunny ocean view type of jam, so we set off to Brooklyn Heights Pier 6 and jumped aboard the awesome new Pilot. It's a floating barge that's a bar/resto and, even though it's tethered to land, you definitely feel like you've set sail while eating oysters and looking at the city skyline. I loved it!

Since it was a warm, breezy day I needed a cute, bike-friendly (yes, I swear I biked-- there's photo evidence below!) ensemble. I dug out this Rory Beca silk tank from several years ago. I love the blue pattern and wore it a lot until...I didn't. Challenge: accepted. I tried to wear it sans bra (my fave summer thing to do-- perks of a barely B cup!) but it was sliding off and puckering at the sides, had to bust out the strapless harness. Boo. I threw on my trusty [stretchy] American Eagle shorts and beloved white Birks along with my hat and was off to cruise around.

OutFIT or LeaveIT?: All in all, an apropos ensemble for the day. I worry I won't wear the tank many more times, but we shall see. For now, it makes the cut.

Dan enjoyed my outfit. Just kidding, he enjoyed rosé. His wardrobe: Billy!
