Old + New = More New(er)

I've fallen behind on my blogging! But not on my closet wearing. (Phew) Last week a few brisk days made their way into town and I was thrilled (which is bizarre) to break out some warmer pieces. I took a little lunch break to my jewelry mecca, Tendenza. Thanks for the pics, Z!

I knew I'd be hunkered down at my desk writing like a madwoman all day, which mean it was a Biz PJ's day all the way. In the BPJ dept, I have these amazing faux-leather textured jeans by 7 for All Mankind. I found them 2 years ago in a spring clear out sale at Bloomie's. They look super chic and totally like the real deal and they were a killer price. I have worn them COUNTLESS times. In fact, I actually do own real leather pants and guess what? I like all my faux ones better. #oops  

On top I wanted to try this kinda crazy colorful fuzzy sweater I couldn't resist at Zara a few weeks ago when I was just going in to return something. EVIL! But, I never have enough cute tops for cold weather and I know this one will be worn a ton. I love how it looked with those pants and can't wait to try it with jeans and rugged boots next for a more low-key weekend vibe. (And by "next" I mean whenever this insane challenge is over and I can start repeating stuff!)

On the bottom I had on my new Dolce Vita booties that I've already worn 5x in the 2 weeks since I got "GILTED" into them. The coat is also new this season from Club Monaco and was a gift from my mom on her recent trip here. I needed a nice, chic coat to wear on the occasions I'm not wearing my incredible puffer coat, aka Simba. I am already in love with it and think it's a classic that will serve me well for years. 

OutFIT or LeaveIT?: Obvs I love everything here. Wearing something older with something new is a great way to make it exciting again (not that I was bored with it). Don't worry, I foresee some big fails a'coming real soon...
