Rainy Day Flare

Today NYC is getting a lot of rain, but nothing compared to the horrible storm Florida is getting. Hurricane season is just so cruel.

It's still warm here, but sometimes chilly...and sometimes wet. Obviously a jeans day. I threw on these nice n' stretchy high-rise JBrand Flares and, in effort to elevate the good ol' jeans and basic white tee look, I paired it with this cute ruffly H&M cotton top. Precisely the reason I bought this kind of top, and precisely the kind of thing pre-closet challenge Lindsey would have just left in the closet to die. I recently realized my shoe collection was looking very one-note (see: all neutrals or black) so I nabbed these Isabel Marant Etoile pony hair speckled pumps at a kill sale price on Gilt. They have teeny heels and a pop of red leather piping around the top—perfect way to jazz up the most basic of outfits. 

So far, this challenge is definitely making me think differently about my closet! I'll call that a win. For today...
